Barry J. Nace Honored with Leonard M. Ring Champion of Justice Award for 2020

Paulson & Nace, PLLC is proud to announce that partner Barry J. Nace is this year’s recipient of the Leonard M. Ring Champion of Justice Award. The award, presented by the American Association for Justice (AAJ), recognizes an AAJ member of at least 10 years who epitomizes “outstanding integrity and overall character and has demonstrated Leonard Ring’s devotion to human and civil rights. The Award is given to a member who has provided distinguished service in advancing AAJ’s mission and growth, and made outstanding contributions to trial advocacy and the legal profession.”

For the last 50 years, Barry J. Nace has devoted himself to fighting for justice, developing groundbreaking cases; the landmark decision in Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, Inc. eased the standard for the admissibility of expert testimony. A former President of AAJ, Mr. Nace has served in multiple leadership positions in the organization, as he has in other prestigious trial bars and associations. He served as President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC (TLA-DC) twice; he also served as President of the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a founding member of the Public Justice Foundation, and has recently earned Life Member status in the American Law Institute.

Mr. Nace has secured more than $100 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients, created and supported legislation than protected the civil justice system, and changed the practice of law for the better. We invite you to watch the video, and to celebrate Mr. Nace’s latest recognition by AAJ. It is certainly well deserved.

Congratulations, Barry Nace, on being the 2020 recipient of the Leonard M. Ring Champion of Justice Award!
