Paulson & Nace, PLLC Named to “Best Law Firms” by U.S. News and World Report
We are very proud to announce that Paulson & Nace, PLLC has been ranked Tier 1 in the 2016 edition of U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers’ list of Best Law Firms in America! The firm has been recognized as a Tier 1 firm every year the rankings have been released. As you may know, firm founder Barry J. Nace and Christopher T. Nace were both named to Best Lawyers this year as well, for their work in the areas of Plaintiff Personal Injury and Plaintiff Medical Malpractice for the Washington, D.C. area.
What is the Best Law Firms award?
Best Law Firms, like Best Lawyers, is a comprehensive ratings service that aims to identify worthy firms from across the country in up to 120 different practice areas and 182 different metro areas. As the website explains, “’Best Law Firms’ rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. To be eligible for a ranking in a particular practice area and metro region, a law firm must have at least one lawyer who is included in Best Lawyers in that particular practice area and metro.”
In order to arrive at their rankings, U.S. News – Best Lawyers asked clients to submit feedback regarding:
- Expertise in their areas of practice
- Responsiveness to clients and their needs
- Understanding of a business and its needs (when applicable)
- Cost-effectiveness
- Civility towards clients, outside counsel, staff members and anyone else involved in a case
- Their likelihood to refer the firm to another person
Peer evaluations asked for much of the same information, as well as their view of the firm’s integrity, and “whether they consider a firm a worthy competitor.” This data, coupled with information submitted by the firm itself, helped to determine the ranking position of the firm. Paulson & Nace was ranked in the top tier, or Tier 1, of firms in our metro area practicing personal injury and medical malpractice.
